The CEO, Ian Bowles was an honoured guest at the Annual Chief of the Defence Staff’s Lecture held at the Royal United Services Institute (RUSI) in Whitehall on 17th December. The event, attended by a wide range of senior political and military figures, was preceded by the unveiling of the Wellington Sword, restoration of which was funded by Allocate Software. The sword was presented to the Institute by the Duke of Wellington in 1837. RUSI was established with the support of the Duke to apply a scientific and professional approach to the study of military affairs, a role which it continues to fulfil to this day as the foremost independent think tank addressing all aspects of defence and security.

Commenting, Ian Bowles said, ‘Having supported RUSI for many years, Allocate Software is delighted to have been able to fund the restoration of one of the Institute’s most iconic treasures.  The sword and its donor, the Duke of Wellington, serve as reminder to all of the responsibilities of leadership.’
