Subsea 7 is one of the world’s leading seabed-to-surface engineering and construction contractors. The company had a variety of workforce and asset management systems that had evolved over time. Most planning was undertaken on spread sheets. Reporting and sharing capabilities were limited and as a result, local planning lacked the possibility of having a strategic global view of the workforce. The identification of recruitment needs and management of resources was typically undertaken using time-consuming manual processes. Overall, there was difficulty in supporting a fast growing, global environment with the existing tools available.
The mandate was to develop strategies and solutions which would standardise the long, medium and short-term planning aspects of the crewing process, while scheduling and managing personnel more effectively. As part of this initiative, Subsea 7 recognised the need for the rapid implementation of a proven workforce optimisation solution to allow the planning and deployment of personnel for projects on a global basis.
Dynama was selected to support the effective administration, planning, tracking and deployment of fully-qualified personnel both onshore and offshore for logistical, safety, legal, cost efficiency, invoicing and payroll purposes. It was also a stable well-tested solution (ISO 9001) and had an intuitive graphical user interface (GUI) and delivered functionality to meet future business requirements.
The benefits of investing in Dynama include:
"During our thorough and detailed selection process, we shortlisted a number of potential workforce management solution suppliers. After an extensive evaluation we selected Dynama for its proven expertise and implementation experience in large, complex global organisations.”
